Are you Experiencing Pain?

Pain can restrict your activities and impact your mood. It may be classified as acute pain which is severe and may be an indication that some part of your body is injured. Chronic pain may be caused due to a disease process.

  • Headache

Tension-type headache is the most common type of headache and is characterized by dull pain and tightness in the head, neck, and shoulders on both sides. It may be either episodic (30 minutes to a week) or chronic (more than 15 days a month for three months).

  • Neck Pain

The most common cause of neck pain is injury to the soft tissues (muscles, ligaments or nerves) or prolonged wear and tear. Traumatic accidents or falls and contact sports can cause severe neck injuries and pain.

  • Shoulder Pain

Pain in the shoulder may suggest an injury, which is more common in athletes participating in sports such as swimming, tennis, pitching, and weightlifting. The injuries are caused due to the over usage or repetitive motion of the arms.

  • Elbow Pain

The elbow is a hinge joint made up of 3 bones – the humerus, radius, and ulna. Damage to any of the structures that make up the elbow joint can cause elbow pain.

  • Hand & Wrist Pain

Hand pain is characterized by distress in the joints and tissues of the hand or fingers. Hand pain can be depicted as pulsating, aching, increased warmth, prickling, irritation and inflexibility.

  • Lower Back Pain

Back pain or backache is the pain felt in the back that may originate from damage to the muscles, nerves, bones, joints, or other structures in the spine. Back pain is one of the most common medical problems experienced by most people at some time in their life.

  • Hip Pain

Hip pain, one of the common complaints, may not always be felt precisely over the hip joint rather in and around the hip joint. The cause for pain is multifactorial and the exact position of your hip pain suggests the probable cause or underlying condition causing it.

  • Knee Pain

Knee pain is a common condition affecting individuals of various age groups. An injury or disease of the knee joint or any structure surrounding the knee can result in knee pain.

  • Foot & Ankle Pain

Foot pain occurs from distress induced by certain factors on the foot. It is a common problem experienced by young athletes involved in various activities such as running and jumping. Normally, foot pain can be treated with home treatments and may take time to heal.
